Creating and Managing Global Lists

 

Using Global Lists

Global Lists appear as options in drop-down menus and multi-select fields throughout iSAMS by IRIS and Ed:gen, which you can use to capture data unique to your organisation(s).

As an admin user, you can use Global Lists from IRIS Central to ensure data across iSAMS by IRIS and schools is synchronised and up-to-date.

  • The following Global Lists are available in IRIS Central:
    • Admissions Status
    • Countries
    • Languages
    • Nationality
    • Offer Type
    • Pupil Leaving Reasons
    • Pupil Entry Type

    Adding and editing Global Lists

    In addition, as an admin user, you can now create new ‘Custom’ Global Lists and add new items to existing ‘Custom’ Global Lists.

    Please note: this functionality is only available to Admin iSAMS by IRIS and Ed:gen users.

    Managing Global Lists in Central

    To access the feature:

    • Go to the Settings icon, then select MIS Management from the menu.
    • From there, you can make changes to any of the existing Global List Management Groups or create new groups.

    To sync Global Lists across selected entities (schools):

    • Select Fetch to find out what values are used across selected entities.
    • Select Push to sync values across the entities and iSAMS by IRIS.
